Steward
The Manor of Cuckfield has an exciting and dynamic vacancy for the suitable candidate. The Lord of the Manor is looking for a new Steward to deputise the Lord of the Manor, oversee the administration of the Manor, and research, promote and uphold the customs of the Manor. 

The suitable candidate should be called to the Bar of England and Wales or a qualified solicitor.

Manorial Judge
Are you looking for your next stage in your legal career? Or are you an experienced judge looking for something worthwhile to do in your local community? The Manorial Court is seeking to recruit new Manorial Judges on a rolling basis. Manorial Judges apply the Court Baron Rules of the Court in arbitrating between parties across Sussex and beyond to resolve contentious civil litigation disputes ranging from tort to trusts and all that comes in between in England's leading civil dispute resolution service. Manorial Judges receive a ten per cent commission on the profits of all cases they undertake. 

The suitable candidate must have been called to the Bar of England and Wales or a qualified solicitor. Judicial experience is desirable; however, not necessary.

Captain of the Watch
Calling commissioned officers and experienced policemen! The Lord of the Manor is looking to appoint a new Captain of the Manorial Watch. The role entails leading the recruitment of volunteers across Sussex; training and overseeing the work of the Watch and taking command of Watch strategy including general duties, Watch operations and collaboration with other law enforcement agencies. 

The suitable candidate should have relevant experience in law enforcement or military leadership. Knowledge of SIA licensing is highly desirable.
